Roma
Day 2: I think the jet lag finally caught up to us. We went to bed about midnight, but somehow didn't wake up until 11:30 in the morning. I think we missed breakfast. We decided to check out the ancient history stuff today. We didn't have a plan, so we were just going to see the stuff as we went along. One of the first things we saw was an old museum that was having an exhibit on Picasso. After that we walked along the avenue past old ruins down to the Colosseum. Cool. From there we walked along the Circus Maximus past the Palatine and Roman Forums. On our way to go look at a shop Corley found, we happened to stumble upon the Pantheon. Apparently that is where Raphael and 2 former kings are buried. The Pantheon turned out to be one of the coolest places we saw. After we left there, we walked over to Piazza Navona where we had a very good pasta dish, and our favorite bottle of wine so far. We also bought some art work from an old lady in the plaza. Since it was Friday night, we decided to go out to a local Irish pub we found....the bars close around 3am....
