Pisa
Rain, rain, go away. It has been raining now for 1.5 days and isn't beginning to cease. Nevertheless, we made the one hour train ride to Pisa today to see the leaning tower. Pisa is actually a university town with alot of young college students. The town was a bit bigger than expected however the main attraction was the leaning bell tower and corresponding cathedral in Piazza dei Miracoli. This square is said to rival all of those in Italy and delivered. It was beautiful and offered alot of natural space/gardens that are not offered in larger cities. We spent most of the day there and took the train back to Florence and visited a cathedral which was mentioned in the guide book but def off the beaten path, Chiesa di Ognissanti. The cathedral was great and it houses Botticelli's tomb supposedly; however, we couldn't find it. Pictures below.
