Venezia

After a 3 hour train ride to Venice, we are here with beautiful weather. After reading the tour books on the train, we have decided to only stay here for one night. We spent today exploring and will do the same tomorrow, before getting on an overnight train to Budapest. We left the train station and went on a walking tour that is off the beaten path. The city is full of twisting and turning alley ways that wind through the city. Although we were still carrying our packs, we managed to see many sights that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. I feel like we saw most of the city on that 2 hour walk. After getting the hotel room, we went back out to finish exploring Piazza San Marco, St. Mark's Square. Unfortunately the bell tower is closed for renovations. We successfully found a hole in the wall for some wine and wine and dinner. Good day overall. Museums tomorrow, including the Peggy Guggenheim, before the overnight train ride.
